For a kid getting his first win, that’s the kind of stat line that suggests there might be something there. The Twins’ pitching development has been questioned in recent seasons, but Prielipp’s early showing offers a hint of what might be possible if the organization continues developing young arms properly.

The Mariners managed four runs, with Raleigh going deep in the eighth to provide some offensive flash. But it was too little, too late against a Twins lineup that showed no mercy and an opposing pitcher who was simply better on this Monday night.
