Brooks Raley took the loss in relief despite allowing no hits in his appearance, a testament to how brutal baseball can be. Aroldis Chapman earned the win despite pitching only an inning. The Mets had every chance to put away a vulnerable Red Sox team playing backup baseball, and instead they’ll spend the next week wondering how they let this one slip away.
